Gur prices settle quiet in thin trade

NEW DELHI, Aug 12:  The wholesale gur (jaggery) market settled unchanged in the national capital today in the absence of worthwhile activities.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets too pegged at overnight levels in thin trade.
Marketmen said negligible demand amid thin supplies due to adverse weather conditions, mainly kept gur prices unmoved.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,500-3,600, pedi Rs 3,700-3,800, dhayya Rs 3,800-3,900 and shakkar Rs 4,000-4,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,575-2,625, chakku Rs 3,100- 3,200, khurpa Rs N.Q. And Ladoo Rs 3,250-3,300.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,350-3,400 and dhayya Rs 3,400- 3,450. (PTI)
