UDHAMPUR, May 21: MLA Udhampur, Pawan Gupta conducted an extensive tour of village Samol of Patta Panchayat to take stock of the grievances of people.
During the tour, Gupta interacted with a large number of people took up their problems regarding power supply, drinking water, construction of roads and school buildings with the MLA.
People told the MLA that the existing water tank, which was constructed 48 years back, is not sufficient to provide drinking water to the increased population of the area. They demanded for the construction of new tank of more capacity and the up gradation of water pipe lines.
Speakers also disclosed that low voltage and irregular supply of electricity is a big problem and demanded a new electric station with higher capacity transformer. They also informed Gupta that the approach road constructed under PMGSY with the existing bridge is still unconstructed and demanded to construct the same. They also brought into the notice of the MLA, shortage of teaching staff in High School Samol.
The MLA passed directions to the concerned authorities for proper redressal of public grievances.
