Govt forms committee to identify encroached forest land

JAMMU, Apr 6: To identify encroached forest land in Sunjwan, Bathindi, Raika and Sidhra areas of Jammu district, the State Government has constituted a committee, headed by the Chief Conservator of Forest (S&D), J&K, Jammu.
The committee will ascertain the status of land and delineation of forest land from other land so as to avoid the encroachment. It will get the demarcation conducted on the identified locations and finalize its report and recommendations within a period of two months.
The four-member committee will be comprised of Divisional Forest Officer, Jammu; Regional Director, Survey & Land Records, Jammu; Divisional Forest Officer, demarcation, Jammu and director Land Management, JDA.
