GMC Principal asks medicos to work with dedication; stresses on punctuality

JAMMU, Mar 18: Principal, Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, Dr Sunanda Raina, today stressed upon the medicos to work with utmost zeal, dedication and devotion while maintaining dress code and remaining punctual.
She was addressing a meeting of all HoDs and senior faculty members of Medical College and its associated hospitals, in the committee room of her office. She asked them to submit sound proposals to her office for further improvements in their respective departments/institution as well as for the better patient care so that positive action can be taken at his end.
Dr Sunanda assured the medicos that she will make all possible efforts for the teaching faculty so that they can use their optimal skill in teaching, research and patient care activities.
Meanwhile, a delegation comprising office bearers and prominent members of Medical Employees Association under the leadership of Pardeep Sharma met Dr Sunanda and assured their full cooperation for better functioning of the hospital. The GMC Principal asked the members of the association to work with dedication and shoe a positive and helping attitude towards patients.
Earlier, in the morning, Dr Sunanda inspected the parking areas and issued directions for proper deployment of security staff to ensure hassle free movement of vehicles. She also paid surprise visit of the OPDs and issued on spot instructions for proper sanitation and punctuality.
Pertinent to mention here that after taking over the charge of Principal, GMC Jammu, Dr Sunanda has advanced the time of issue of OPD slips from 10 AM to 9.30 AM and extended the time of Central Collection Lab by one hour by fixing the time from 10AM to 2 PM, for the convenience of the patients.
