Food & Civil Supplies official in Vigilance net

SRINAGAR, Sept 27: Vigilance Organization has arrested and booked an In-charge Office Clerk of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, who was caught red handed while demanding and accepting bribe for releasing ration in favour of a fair price shown dealer.
A case FIR No. 28/ 2017 P/S VOK,  has been registered in Vigilance Organization, Kashmir under section 5(1) (d) r/w 5(2) J&K P.C. Act Samvat 2006 and Sec 4-A of the amended PC Act against the against the accused Public Servant Younis Ahmad Parray.
The Vigilance trap was laid on the basis of a written complaint lodged by one Manzoor Ahmad Rather of Magam, a fair price shop dealer,  who alleged that the accused official was demanding bribe for issuing allotted monthly supply of rice (86 Qtls) and sugar (9.5 qtls) for distribution of the same to the ration card holders of the village.
The accused has been arrested and further investigations are going on into the case.
