POONCH, July 17: Heavy rain and flash flood caused damage to a culvert in Chattral area of Mankote while a car got trapped and several vehicles remained stranded on the road for about two hours this afternoon.
Official sources said that heavy rain occurred in Mandhar and Suranklote area this afternoon. The movement of vehicles was stalled on Mendhar-Chhatral Road for about two hours while a car got trapped in the flood. While all the three passengers onboard were rescued, the movement of vehicles remained suspended for some time.

A large portion of the culvert was also damaged in the flood. The flash flood caused soil erosion and the heavy rain thrown the life out of gear for few hours in the entire sub division. No loss of life, however, was reported from the area today.
