EJAC discusses demands

SRINAGAR, Dec 17: Empl-oyees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) discussed various demands of the employees in its meeting held today at Health and Family Welfare Confederation under the presidentship of senior vice president, Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam.
The meeting, which was attended by the senior leaders and the unit presidents of affiliated organizations, took stock of issues of the employees of the State.
It was resolved in the meeting that the public sector employees should be given the benefit of 7th Pay Commission at par with the Government sector employees, policy regarding ‘removal of pay anomalies’ in various departments should be made clear before the implementation of 7th PC and regularization policy of daily wagers along with the pay structure should be made public.
The meeting further resolved that steps shall be taken to strengthen the organization at grass root level and organizational meetings shall be held twice a month. Besides, it was also decided that the empowered apex body meeting will be held soon after the arrival of EJAC president, Ab Qayoom Wani.
Among others who attended the meeting were Manzoor Ahmed Pampori, Wajahat Kirm-ani, Khursheed Ahmed Bhat, Dr Manzoor Ahmad, Farooq Ahmed Khan, Tariq Ahmed Sofi, Lateef Ahmed Malik, Ghulam Rasool Bhat, Mehraj-ud-Din Hakak and Shabir Ahmed Bhat.
