Drug peddler arrested with ganja

JAMMU, June 5: Narwal police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered ganja from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Narwal Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 3 kilograms of ganja from the possession of the person and arrested the person, who has been identified as Durga Parshad, son of Amrit Lal, a resident of Chattisgarh, at present Bawe Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 149/18 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Narwal Police Post SI Varuneshwar Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Parvez Sajjad, SDPO East Ajay Jamwal, SP South Sandeep Choudhary and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
