JAMMU, Dec 29: Finance Minister Dr Haseeb A Drabu today launched the official calendar of J&K Grameen Bank for the year 2018.
Chairman J&K Grameen Bank, RK Chhibber briefed Finance Minister about the bank’s role in providing basic banking facilities to general public of all the regions of J&K whether it is agricultural sector, retail trade and also for setting up small and large industries.
He also apprised the Minister about the various steps taken by the bank for financial inclusion. He informed that bank has conducted State wide campaign regarding Social Security Schemes including PMSBY and PMJJBY wherein people are insured at a nominal premium of Rs 12 and Rs 330 respectively. After a span of more than 1 year, 100 per cent claim settlement rate is maintained.
Ajay Bharti, Public Relation Officer, Mukul Mehta, Private Secretary to Chairman and Sahil Sharma, Senior Manager HRDD were also present on the occasion.
