Dr Jitendra reviews rally arrangements

UDHAMPUR, Mar 25: Union Minister of State in PMO with Independent charge of North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh reviewed the arrangements for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s  rally at Udhampur to be held on April 2 during the inauguration of Chenani-Nashri state of art tunnel in a high level meeting with the administration, public representatives and prominent citizens here today.
The meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr Pawan Kotwal, Inspector General of Police Jammu Region, Dr S D Singh Jamwal, DIG Udhampur Varinder Sharma, Deputy Commissioner , Udhampur Neeraj Kumar, DC Reasi, SSP, Udhampur and SSP Reasi, besides MLAs of Udhampur and Chenani Pawan Gupta and  Deena Nath Bhagat respectively. In addition to it senior BJP leaders including Party general secretary Pawan Khajuria and district president Rakesh Gupta and representatives of civil society also attended the meeting.
Besides discussing the arrangements with the administration, Dr Jitendra Singh visited the venue along with the top civil and police officers where the PM will address the rally.
Highlighting the importance of Prime Minister’s visit, Dr Jitendra Singh urged both administration as well as social and political activists to make the rally a grand success. He asked the administration and social activists to work in close coordination for the success of the rally.
He said the rally assumes great significance as PM is visiting the State despite his busy schedule to inaugurate the state of art Chenani-Nashri Tunnel considering its importance and development of Udhampur district.
Earlier the Divisional Commissioner and I G Jammu briefed him about the fool proof security arrangements for the rally.
