Directorate of Libraries launches career counselling initiative

JAMMU, Nov 29: The Directorate of Libraries and Research has, in collaboration with IPLM, Career Counseling Cell, University of Kashmir, Mindler Delhi and Plancess Mumbai, launched a unique initiative on Career Planning and Counseling for J&K students.
According to the Director Libraries & Research, Mukhtar-ul-Aziz, the Department has, as part of this initiative, roped in IIT toppers from Delhi and Mumbai for mentoring of J&K students for various competitive examinations.
He said counseling of 11th and 12th class students to prepare them for NEET and JEE exams would be held on December 6, 2017 at Teachers Bhawan Gandhi Nagar Jammu while it would be held for Valley students on December 7, 2017 at Convocation Hall University of Kashmir Hazratbal Srinagar.
“There will be two sessions of counseling. The 1st session, to be held from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm, would be open to both students and the parents, while the second session, to be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, would be exclusively for 12th class students,” he said.
