UDHAMPUR, Feb 11: Expressing shock over the criminal silence of the BJP leaders from Jammu on the illegal settlement of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in Jammu and its out skirts, State president of NPP and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia has demanded deportation of these foreigners.
Addressing party workers at NPP office Udhampur today, Mankotia alleged that interestingly the BJP leaders and activists who used to project such issues when in opposition, are now keeping mum on illegal settlement of over 11,000 Rohingyas/ Bangladeshis in Jammu and it’s adjoining areas, just for the lust of power. They have sold out the interests of Jammu to the Coalition partner from Kashmir.
Mankotia further revealed that on one side, West Pakistani Refugees who had been settled in Jammu in the year 1947 after partition of India are not even entitled to cast their vote in the Assembly elections and are moving from pillar to post for want of identity proof of being residents of J&K State, on the other hand people who have immigrated from Bangladesh and Mynmar are settled in Jammu with many having all residential proofs as well.
NPP said those who are hatching the conspiracy against the nationalist people of Jammu province in particulate and J&K state in general, must be known to every citizen of the country. Mankotia added that the BJP is answerable to the people of Jammu province who voted them to power. They should also clarify that why they have failed to issued domicile certificate to WP refugees where as Rohingyas are being given ration cards and enlisted in voter lists etc to get the benefit of all the Centrally sponsored schemes.
He further said that Panthers Party has already started the quit Jammu movement against these Rohingyas and the Party shall mobilize the public of Jammu in the days to come to oust these Rohingyas from Jammu.
