Crude oil futures up on positive Asian cues

NEW DELHI, Sept 27:  Crude oil rose by Rs 28 to Rs 3,456 per barrel in futures market today as speculators indulged in creating speculative positions, taking positive cues from Asian markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in November contract was trading higher by Rs 28, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 3,456 per barrel, in a business turnover of 155 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in October gained Rs 26, or 0.76 per cent, to Rs 3,428 per barrel in 4,666 lots.
Analysts said speculative positions created by traders as oil prices edged up in Asia today after an industry report was said to have shown an unexpected decline in crude inventories, supported the upmove.
Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate gained 29 cents, or 0.56 per cent, to USD 52.17 while global benchmark Brent was up 24 cents, or 0.41 per cent cent to USD 58.68 a barrel. (PTI)
