Copper, nickel rise on stockists buying

NEW DELHI, July 22: Prices of copper and nickel rose by up to Rs 3 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on increased stockists buying, driven by rising demand from consuming industries amid firm global cues.
Traders said increased stockists buying supported by rising demand from consuming industries at the domestic spot market and a firm trend overseas mainly kept copper and nickel prices higher.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4×4) rose by Rs 2 and Rs 3 to Rs 358 and Rs 790-800 per kg, respectively.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 104-110, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 790-800, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 358, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 96, lead imported Rs 102, aluminium ingots Rs 154, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 150, aluminium wire scrap Rs 150 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 148. (PTI)
