Civil Defence organises awareness programme

JAMMU, Dec 15: A one day awareness-cum-demonstration programme was held here at Maheshpura, Bakshi Nagar today by Civil Defence under the guidance of V.K Singh, Commandant General, Homeguard/Civil Defence & SDRF J&K.
In the awareness programme locals were made aware about the knowledge of First Aid, CPR, chocking, snake bite and fire fighting.
On this occasion Palvi Singh, Programme Director (NGO), De-addiction Centre Purkhoo delivered a lecture on Drug De-addiction.
Speaking on the occasion Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu, Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden and Thakur Ranjit Singh, Dy. Chief Warden highlighted the role and importance of Civil Defence organization in the community.
About 100 locals of the area and students of nearby school attended the programme.
CD Divisional Wardens, Jagdish Kumar and Vinod Kumar Sharma; Sanjeev Puri, Dy. Divisional Warden; Post Wardens Amit Nayyar, Vijay Singh Pathania, Vimal Pandita and S. Harcharan Singh along with Anita Dogra, Sector Warden were also present.
The programme was supervised by Muneer Ahmed Khan, ADGP, HG/CD & SDRF and Vikas Gupta, SSP, Incharge DIG HG/CD & SDRF Jammu.
