Border Road Organisation celebrates 54th Raising Day

JAMMU, May 8: Project Sampark celebrated the 54th Raising Day of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) with gaiety at Kaluchak on its raised day.
The celebrations commenced with GREF Sammelan, where Chief Engineer Project Sampark addressed all ranks. He conveyed the wishes and compliments on behalf of Lieutenant General AT Parnaik, Director General of BRO and read out his message to the troops.
Chief Engineer spoke about the important contribution of Project Sampark to road development in remote and difficult border areas of J&K. Project Sampark looks after the construction, improvement and maintenance of approx 3000 km of roads in border districts of Jammu, Kathua, Doda, Udhampur, Rajouri, Reasi and Poonch and has been a major contributor in enhancing the socio-economic growth and ensuring all round sustainable development of the region.
The celebrations concluded with an excellent evening of musical and cultural programme by the All India Radio Kashmir, Jammu followed by a Barakhana with all troops and families.
