JAMMU, May 8: MIET today announced the launch of its Global Alumni Mentorship programme under which distinguished alumni from across the world will mentor current students at MIET.
This programme is aimed at raising the aspiration and achievement levels of the current students at MIET.
As part of the pilot programme, 16 alumni from diverse geographical locations such as Singapore, USA, UK, Middle East and India have formed a core group to advise students on a host of issues to help them achieve more and be better prepared for corporate careers in time to come. A group of 30 current students from across departments and semesters have been chosen to receive individualized coaching from the mentors.
The programme was launched through a Google Hangout group video-conferencing session in which the mentors, mentees and senior MIET functionaries participated.
Principal MIET, Prof S K Sharma presented welcome address. Prof Ankur Gupta, Joint Director, MIET exhorted on the students to seek maximum benefit from the experience and expertise of the mentors.
