BMP launched

JAMMU, Apr 19: Bahujan Mukti Party (BMP), which had been launched on national level on December 6, 2012, was launched in the State on April 18, 2013.
Addressing a press conference here at Press Club, National President, R K Ankodia and newly elected J&K State President, Advocate Ashok Kumar Basotra stating reasons for launching the BMP expressed that BMP would represent the 87% of ignored population of the Country viz-a-viz J&K State who have been made to suffer at the hands of Upper Castes’ Ruling Class simply because they belong to Backward Classes and minority communities.
Ankodia told media persons that in a mammoth gathering of General House from all the sections of society as well as all the regions of J&K State, the State Representative Committee unanimously elected Advocate Ashok Kumar Basotra as State President of BMP under the supervision of Master Dharam Paul, the Election Officer appointed for the purpose.
Accordingly, Basotra nominated seven executive members and 11 other members of the State Co-ordination Committee of BMP and declared that the designation to all these members will be given later on as per the requirement of the Party and capacity and performance of all these members, the national president of BMP said.
Speaking on the occasion, Basotra informed that after the formation of Party structure from the grass root level to top, the State Executive Working Committee shall have 51 members representing all the communities and all the regions of the State as per the Constitution of the BMP.
The manifesto set by the Party had also been discussed and approved, he added.
