JAMMU, Apr 19: The SRM Entrance Examination (SRMEE 2013) for admission in Engineering and Technology and other streams will be held on April 20 and 21, 2013 here.
The Paper Pencil Mode will be held on 20, while the Computer based test on April 20 and 21, 2013 here.
According to an official handout issued here, the admission notification was issued in November for admission to multiple disciplines, wherein 2,23 lakh candidates registered from across the country. Out of those applied, 1,52,518 candidates are to appear in the examination to be conducted in five sessions in 203 centres in 102 cities across the country. Majority of the candidates take up the test for admission to B Tech in 19 branches which include Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Sciences, Civil, IT, Electrical & Electronics, Bio-technology, Aerospace, Nano-technology, Automobile, Electronics & Instrumentation, Bio-medical, Chemical, Bio-informatics, Genetics, Software, Instrumentation and Control, Mechatronics, Information and Telecommunication.
The results of the Entrance Examinations will be published on April 30, 2013 in the University’s Website www.srmuniv.ac.in, while the Counseling will be held for six days from June 1, 2013.
The University also offers full fee concession for all four years to CBSE toppers from each State and toppers in State Board Examinations, free education to economically weaker section-10 students having 95 % marks in 12th Examination, 100 % fee waiver on tuition fee and hostel fee to sportspersons having significant achievement at National Level/State Level- 10 in Engineering, 10 in MBA and 50 in Science and Humanities.
Merit scholarship are also offered to NRI candidates and financial assistantship to those sponsored under Semester Abroad Program (SAP) to Universities abroad including MIT, Carnige Melon, University of California.
