JAMMU, Feb 18: Dr Sudhir S Bloeria, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, called on Governor, N N Vohra, who is Chancellor of this University, at Raj Bhavan today and briefed him about various issues relating to the ongoing infrastructure development of the University at village Bagla, Raya Suchani.
Dr Bloeria, who is a Member of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, also discussed with the Governor certain matters relating to the functioning of the residential Gurukul which is being run by the Shrine Board to provide high quality Sanskrit education, free of charge, to young students who are admitted on the basis of a competitive assessment of their relative merits.
Meanwhile, Prof Mohan Pal Singh Ishar, Vice Chancellor, Jammu University also called on Governor, N. N. Vohra at Raj Bhavan, today.
Prof Ishar briefed the Governor about several important matters relating to the functioning of the Jammu University and its off- site campuses. The Governor stressed his concern about the importance of maintaining high academic standards alongside strict discipline and decorum in all institutions of higher learning.
