JAMMU, July 8: Senior Congress leader and PCC General Secretary Balwan Singh said that BJP played with the national security and honour of Jammu during its three years rule in J&K in alliance with PDP.
He said this while addressing Congress workers at Marh.
“Jammu faced worst ever neglect and discrimination and undergone multiple hardships due to the total somersault of BJP Ministers and Legislators. He said the balloon of development has burst as the BJP Chief admitted that they were unable to carry out promised development.
Singh said that the time has come to expose the role of BJP in aligning with PDP for corruption that has impacted all sections of the people in the State particularly Jammu region.
He said the nationalistic and patriotic people of Jammu were deceived as BJP partnered with PDP that patronized terrorists and promoted anti-national forces.
“BJP itself claimed that the discrimination with Jammu region during the Coalition Government with PDP made it to withdraw support from PDP” he said, adding that BJP was sitting in the Government with its eyes shut.
He said that it took more than three years for BJP to wake up for the discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh regions. “It was a worst case of betrayal by BJP to the people of Jammu”, he added.
Singh said that BJP has pulled down the image of the people of Jammu during its rule and has physically and psychology wounded them.
He said that the Congress alone can reverse the wrong done to the peoples of Jammu and Ladakh.
Among others, who addressed the gathering were Devi Dass, Senior Congress Leader, Sadagar Singh Saini and Ashwani Sharma, Block Presidents of Satwari and Marh, Vikram Singh, Jagdish Raj Bhagat, Dr Bansi Lal, Charanjeet Singh and Colonel SN Dogra.
