JAMMU, Mar 17: A delegation of BJP workers of Durga Mandal today called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (RRC), Y P Suman and showed concern over denial of ration to the displaced employees and pensioners since 2016.
The delegation informed the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner that migrant employees and pensioners were given ration and sugar under APL category and the same was stopped since December 2016.
Suman issued directives to the staff that the ration to migrant employees and pensioners be issued on old ration cards till new ration cards are made available and the same be issued at the rate of five kg flour and five kg rice per soul.
The delegation further demanded simplification of bifurcation of ration cards for which the migrants are facing lot of hardships. It further demanded that the inclusion of new born babies be also done without creating hardships to the migrants.
The delegation comprised of Bharat Bushan Gosani, Satish Zutshi, B L Koul, R K Raina, Sanjay Baht etc.
