JAMMU, Nov 29: Senior Congress leader and former minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma has alleged that BJP leadershaip has betrayed the educated unemployed youth from Jammu region.
In a press statement here today, Congress leader said that BJP has always exploited the sentiments of youth by making false promises every time particularly during elections but practically they did nothing. Even after three years in the State and more than three and half years in the Centre after attaining power, their real face stood exposed.
Dr Sharma strongly criticized the new employment policy and showed deep concern over the employment policy adopted by the BJP-PDP Government which is totally against the interest of educated unemployed youth especially from Jammu.
“This policy leads harassment and ultimately exploitation of educated youth and serves no propose. As the unemployed youth are already suffering a lot due to the militancy and disturbance in the State for more than two decades, this is a mockery with the youth to engage them temporarily for seven years both in Gazetted and Non- Gazetted cadre, ” he added.
Dr Sharma said it is very unfortunate that the regularization of daily wagers/causal labours working in various departments is still pending despite the a lot of hue and cry of employees associations and political parties. It is pertinent to mention here that the proposed SRO-201 for regularization daily wagers/causal labours is totally against the interest of thousands of daily wagers who are waiting for more than a decade. He said the proposed SRO is strongly opposed by his party.
Congress leader fully support the genuine demand of teachers engaged on contractual basis, lecturers engaged on academic arrangement in 10+2 and daily wagers working in different departments for their regularization.
