JAMMU, May 13: Master Sansar Chand Baru Memorial Charitable Trust (MSCBMCT) in collaboration with Kala Kendra Jammu organised a 3-day National level Painters Camp at Bansi Parimoo Graphics studio Kala Kendra.
Balwant Thakur Padamshree thespian and Director ICCR was chief guest on the occasion while veteran artist N D Jamwal and Prof Rita Jitender were guests of honour. Soujanya Sharma, Secretary Kala Kendra and Anuradha Rishi Trustee MSCBMCT also shared dais as hosts of the event.
Participant painters are Amit Harit from Jaipur, Manish Kumar from New Delhi, Jasbir Virk from Gurdaspur, Sushil Bhola, Subhash Anand, Jang S Verman, Rakesh Sharma, Suresh Sharma, Manoj Chopra, Akram Khan, Virji Sumbli, Sukhjeet Singh, Ankush Kesar, Sahil Ohri, Renu Bala and Risha Chin are representing Jammu.
Camp is being coordinated by Rohit Verma, well-known Painter who is also participating in the camp as painter. It is pertinent to mention here that this painters camp is being organised to commemorate Master Sansar Chand Baru, last Pahadi miniature painter of the State on the completion of 3 years of MSCBMCT.
Balwant Thakur in his address lauded the joint endeavour of Soujanya Sharma and Anuradha Rishi to answer the artistic activity in the city of temple. He disclosed that although visual art is individual art as well as individual expression but here all have to work in collective harmony and synergy of minds would generate aestheticism with nuance. N D Jamwal and Rita Jitender also spoke on the occasion.
