Azad, Mir attend cremation of Oma Kaul

JAMMU, Sept 29: Oma Kaul, wife of veteran freedom fighter, poet and scholar Sarwanand Kaul Premi breathed her last at her Lodhi road New Delhi residence after a brief illness late last night.
Her cremation took place at Lodhi road Cremation Ground today. A large number of people including leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and former Chief Minister of J&K Ghulam Nabi Azad, PCC chief G A Mir and senior Party leader Chani Singh attended the funeral.
They expressed their sorrow over the demise of Premi and conveyed their condolences to Rajinder Premi her elder son.
It may be recalled that Late Premi and his son Virender  Kaul were kidnapped by militants in 1990 from their village Soaf Shali in Kokernag Constituency of Anantnag district and their dead bodies were thrown away 20 kms away from their residence. After that the family migrated to Delhi and was putting up their since then. A large number of people including members of KP community participated in her funeral procession.
