ASKPC’s concern over issuance of notices to migrants occupying Govt quarters

JAMMU, Sept 15: Executive body of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) in a meeting here today expressed grave concern over the issuance of notices by the Government to retired migrant employees asking them to vacate Government accommodations.
The meeting was chaired by president of the organization H L Chatta. He termed the issuance of notices against the standing directives of Apex Court which has asked the Government not to disturb any Kashmiri migrant residing in Government accommodations till alternative arrangements are made.
Addressing the meeting R K Raina senior vice president ASKPC alleged that Government has totally failed to protect the religious places of Hindus in Kashmir and alleged that the cremation ground belonging to Hindus in Lar  & Nunnar could not be protected by the administration from the clutches of land mafia.
The meeting was informed by S K Bhat that on the land of cremation ground at Sopore the Government has constructed a bridge over river Jehlum. B L Handoo demanded action against the Revenue officials responsible for tampering the records in league with land mafia.
The meeting also demanded compensation for J K Automation & TF Sales Corporation shop no 71 and 72 at exhibition ground Jammu which gutted in fire on Sunday.
It also constituted a the Jagti Unit with Vinod Khar as its president, Omesh Koul as vice president and Sumit Bhat as general secretary and 16 other Executive members.
