RAJOURI, Apr 15: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion located at Thannamandi under Romeo Force organized a blood donation camp at Thannamandi, here today.
A large number of Army personnel and local people participated in the camp.
Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri district, Rajeev Sharma, was the chief guest on the occasion, who encouraged men to donate blood and educated them on importance of blood donation. He also cleared all their misconception and myth related to blood donation.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Blood banks are always running short of blood, hence this donation of blood will save lives of many needy people of Rajouri District.
The donors went through various medical checkups before donating blood to the tune of 20 units of blood. The event was a huge success and brought awareness amongst the locals about the importance of blood donation.
