AMEAK seeks BJP’s intervention in settling package employees’ issue

JAMMU, Oct 21: All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) has sought the intervention of BJP leadership in settling the issue of PM package and non package employees working in Valley and who were forced to leave Kashmir after attack on some transit camps following the killing of dreaded Hizbul militant Burhan Wani on July 8 in Kashmir valley.
A delegation of AMEAK led by its representative Rubin Saproo met BJP senior vice president Yudhvir Sethi here today and submitted a memorandum to him to be presented to the Government.
The delegation informed Sethi that families of PM package and non package employees working in Valley are facing starvation after they have been deprived of single source of income.
Making an appeal to the State and Centre Governments through Sethi they urged him to take up the issue with the Government so that they will get their salaries without any further delay.
The employees also wanted Government to issue directions in this regard so that their families could not face any more hardships.
They said that majority of employees could not have received yet salary of July and August month too.
Besides deputation from Kishtwar led by Anju Singh raised the various issues of youths  and Yudhvir assured that he will take the issue with the Government for upgradation of youths.
Another deputation from Channi Himmat  projected their  demand for proper upkeep and maintenance of the park in their area.
