6 injured in clash over land dispute

MENDHAR, July 23: Six persons were injured, two of them seriously in a clash over land dispute at Bhera village near Mendhar town today.
A police spokesman said that there was an old land dispute between Mohd Aziz  and one Fazal Hussain at Bhera village over nearly 12 kanal of  land under Khasra number 688. Mohd Aziz raised some construction work at the site. The other party objected to it and waged clash. The other members of the family also joined and a bloody clash started.  Both sides exchanged lathis and stones. At least six members were injured and were hospitalized at Mendhar.
The police registered a case and started investigation. Two seriously injured namely Mohd Aziz  and Showkat were referred  to Govt Medical College Hospital, Jammu. Other four victims under going treatment in SDH Mendhar are- Amina Bi, Hakim Bi, Yasin  Akhtar and Asiya Kouser.
