POONCH, Apr 20: The police arrested two drug peddlers along with 35 packets of brown sugar in Surankote area of district Poonch today.
Official sources said that a police party led by SHO Surankote, Ajay Jamwal under the supervision of SDPO Asgar Malik during nakka at Potha intercepted two youth and recovered 35 small packets of brown sugar from them. The total weight of the drugs was 130 gms.
The accused were identified as Fareem Iqbal, son of Mohd Azam, resident of Potha and Majid Ali, son of Mohd Rashid, resident of Gursai. A case FIR No. 49/ 2017 was registered against them at Surankote Police Station. Investigation was in progress.
