Two nabbed with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches

JAMMU, Nov 27: Pounichak police nabbed two persons and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Pounichak police post laid a naka and signaled a Swift car bearing registration number JK02BD-6982 to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the driver accelerated the vehicle and escaped from the spot.
Stinking something fishy, police cops chased and intercepted the car near some distance from the naka point.
During checking, police recovered 1024 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the driver along with his associate.
The accused have been identified as Surjeet Singh alias Kaali (driver), son of Baldev Singh and Vicky Kumar, son of Krishan Lal, both residents of Gho Manhasan.
They were carrying the illicit liquor pouches to their village for selling among the people for illegitimate profits.
A case has been registered against the accused at Domana police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Pounichak police post SI Sumit Magotra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Rajeshwar Slathia, Officiating SDPO Domana DySP Vishal Manhas and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
