KISHTWAR, Feb 12: Thakur Kartar Singh Rathore, senior leader National Conference and chairman, Pahari Development Forum, (PDF) district Kishtwar has appealed the Governor N N Vohra regarding settlement of various issues confronted by the people of the Paddar area so that the people of this area are saved from the problems being faced by them.
The residents of the area are facing mal-functioning of BSNL telephones, internet, fax facility and he urged for improved functioning of the same. He also demanded the upgrading of electric system as the area is facing frequent power cuts.
It is relevant to mention that 33 KV electric line is sanctioned but it has not been installed till date resulting in present power crisis in the area. In Padder there are 32 revenue villages but it is a matter of concern that only 14 revenue villages are electrified so far and remaining 18 are waiting for electricity to come.
