It is respectful brought into the notice of J&K State Govt that hundreds of yearly passout students from Winter Zone Higher Secondary School of Chenani and nearby are suffering badly as there is not Winter Zone College at a Central location called Chenani. The need and urgency of a Degree College at Chenani has been brought into the notice of all higher authorities from time to time, but no action has been taken on count so far.
It is pertinent to mention that the topography of entire Tehsil Chenani may be taken into consideration where due to very difficult hilly terrain it is difficult even to go from one village to another. Secondly, Chenani has the very poor road connectivity. Some of the public of Kulasar, Kalsara-Kither, Kohli Mohalla and Ladha Top have never seen or travelled by Bus. Thirdly the Economic conditions and employment ratio of Tehsil Chenani has all time remained low as it could not produce even a single doctor and engineer.
This oldest hilly area tehsil has been represented by all major political parties in the Assembly. The students especially suffer badly because these poor passouts from Winter Zone have to wait for many months to get admission in only Summer Zone degree College Udhampur which is already over crowed with students from entire district. So Chenani students get drop-out category and only few can get admission at Udhampur. The six Winter Zone Higher Secondary Schools of Tehsil Chenani including nearby present very strong case for opening of Winter Zone Degree College at Chenani.

Degree College at Paddar
I want to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards establishment of a Degree College at Paddar. This demand has been raised by the people since two decades back but no Government has ever paid attention to this problem.
It may be mentioned here that functioning of a Degree College in quite important here to provide education to this backward area. After completing their 10+2, Schooling from here, the student community has elsewhere to seek higher education. Only a small percentage moves to other places to seek education while rest can not afford the same.
The people have raised this demand time and again, but it has not been met yet on one pretext or the other. The new Government is requested to look into the matter at the earliest .

Please to Edu Minister
It’s very dismaying that despite being selected as class 4th in Education Department Kulgam District (SC category ) December 2014 by the District level screening committee in response to notification No 1 of 2014,our file for issuance of appointment orders is still pending in the personal section of Commissioner Secretary Education Jammu.
Despite lapse of more than two years order have not been issued till date. Important to mention that our counterparts who have been selected in the other district with same notification have been issued appointment order without any delay by the concerned Chief Education Officers. We appeal to the Education Minister to please look into the matter and pass the necessary directions to solve the problem.

Install street lights in Pandoka Colony
This is to draw the attention of the JMC authorities towards absence of street lights in Pandoka Colony.
The street lights at various places in the Colony are non-functional, hence cause great inconvenience to residents of the area. The residents, particularly ladies do not dare to venture out during darkness in the area. Besides, during summer, there is the apprehension of snakes and other poisonous insects. It is requested to install street lights in the area to allow smooth public movement during evening hours.
Hope the problem would be addressed at the earliest.

Make school books available
The annual results of school exams are either announced or are going to be declared shortly . As is usually experienced , students face lot of difficulties in getting books and notebooks in time . A few schools do arrange books at their own levels but most of the schools which are not catering to the economically better placed sections or are Government run do face problems every year as either stocks are getting exhausted or the note books and other items of stationery required for the students are not available.
It is hoped that this year the students and their parents won’t face problems on this count and students can enter their new classes well equipped with all the books , note books, computer related items etc .
Will the authorities pay heed towards this pressing seasonal needs of students.

No functioning of street lights
I want to draw the attention of concerned authorities towards Housing Park near Dudadhari temple, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu that our park lights as well as few street lights are not in a working condition. The floriculture and electricity board has installed poles on either side of park but these are just poles no lights.
Many times we requested for complaint but still problem persists. Moreover, there is cause of some accidents too as old people and small children are not able to walk and play after sunset as darkness may lead to anykind of mishappening .Our locality children have to go to nearby parks to play instead of their own residential park.
