JAMMU, Apr 16: VHP State president, Advocate Leela Karan Sharma called on Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh at New Delhi and expressed his displeasure the way Government has tackled the Rassana murder issue.
Mr Sharma told the Union Home Minster that the people of Jammu favour a fair investigation in the case and they have never supported any criminal in any way. The demand of CBI probe made by the people of the region was also to seek justice for the victim and her family as well as that no innocent should be involved in the case and there was nothing harm in it.
Sharma also informed Mr Singh that the way BJP leadership tackled the issue reveals the Party’s total surrender before the PDP and this has led to a lot of public resentment in Jammu as the people of the region feel dejected and deprived by those whom they blindly supported in last Assembly and Parliamentary elections.
Leela Karan Sharma also wanted to meet the BJP national president, Amit Shah regarding the matter but he was not in the Capital City. Sharma said that he wanted to apprise Shah about the people’s anger against the BJP in Jammu region after the Government turned down the public demand of holding a CBI probe into the matter as they have lost total faith in State police as well as Crime Branch which was working in a partisan way, he added.
