This is to bring in the notice of District administration Kathua, that the condition of Sports Stadium Kathua is worsening day by day.
The stadium is facing official negligence since long as a result of which sports activities have taken a beating in the area. As there is no coach or instructor available in the stadium, the players have been left in the lurch and asked to fend for themselves.
Despite lakhs of rupees being spent by the Government for the construction of the stadium in official records, nothing is being done to complete its construction. Besides no arrangement have been made for lighting in the stadium.
There is no other places where sports person of Kathua go for coaching or practice purposes.
It is therefore requested that the matter be looked into at the earliest to save the interests of the players.

Degree College at Bhour Camp
There is an urgent need to set up a Degree College at Bhour Camp as there is no such college for students residing between Ranbir Singh Pura and Jammu City.
The students of the area have to go long distances to seek admission in the city colleges. Most of the times, these students do not get admission in the colleges due to less intake capacity.
The students, therefore, have no choice other than leaving their studies halfway or go other places. At times it becomes burden some for parents to bear this huge expenditure.
Therefore, it is requested to the Education Minister to open a degree college in the area at a suitable place.

Bad condition of roads in Durganagar, Roopnagar
Attention of the JMC authorities is drawn to the bad condition of roads in Durga Nagar and Roopnagar areas. These roads have developed numerous pot holes which at times prove very dangerous, particularly, during rains or in dark hours.
These roads which connect interparts of these areas do not receive much attention, as they remain out of right for officials concerned.
Even if people raise the demand for black-topping them, nobody listens them.
Wish the JMC authorities consider these roads as important as the main roads of any locality.
It is expected that these roads are black-topped at the earliest to make like easy for people of the area.

Repair Paloura nullah
This is to draw the attention of the concerned authorities that the nallah passing through Phase-I, Paloura near Bonn Bread Factory to Janipur has suffered extensive damage during the recent heavy rains. The nullah was washed away at many places. There is urgent need to repair it at the earliest to save the residents from inconvenience.
It may be mentioned here that the said nullah serves many purposes for the residents and therefore needs to be in proper condition.
Hope, the authorities would look into the matter at the earliest.

Stray dog menace in Janipur
I want to draw JMC officials’ attention towards dog menace in Old Janipur area (Ward No. 35)
Where each lane has more than five to six dogs residing permanently. These large number of dogs have made life difficult for kids and elderly alike. No one is able to pass through the streets without worrying for their safety. A pack of dogs can easily maul a kid or an elderly person. Apart from that if they bite an individual, they could easily be spreading rabies and other infectious diseases. The dogs also litter the streets with feces which are not cleaned by safai karamcharis These could also be carrying numerous disease causing pathogens.
Earlier I would lodged a complaint through JMC’s online grievance system on 24th June 2016 under # JMC1045. The status for complaint shows “Has been forwarded to concerned for action taken.” since then no action has been taken on ground so far.
I request the Municipal authorities to control this dog menace and make life easier for citizens of this area.
