JAMMU, Mar 27: BJP State vice president and incharge media for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency, Arun Gupta accused the Congress which ruled almost 60 years of ruining the very foundation of the country.
In a statement issued here, today, he said ironically, the Congress party has lost total moral ground in justifying its very existence. The people of the country rejected them outrightly in 2014 general elections by electing only 44 of its candidates. Most of the contestants lost their security deposits or had very thin voting percentage followed by loosing most of the states in country.
In the Congress party, the practice of defending there immoral activities and rampant corruption, was in practice and continues till date, he said, adding unlike BJP its leaders are working for personal glory.
Arun Gupta further said that with emergence of extremely dedicated decisive and focused governance under the able leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, a new and firm foundation of New India has been laid. Rural India, which constitutes more than 80 percent of population, has seen the very concept of empowerment and development of there villages and peripheral infrastructure is no longer interested to buy Congress party narrative.
The Congress party has very selective concerns sharing formula, which gets active during elections and afterwards it is nowhere to be seen. Even today if compared to the 60 years of governance by the Congress and five years of BJP governance across country, the graph and statistics itself are testimony to the facts.
Why were fulfilling even the basic needs of whole rural and urban population like providing gas connection, housing, medical facilities for the poor and extremely poor population, education to rural areas, not a priority for the Congress, Arun asked? Having equal space for the girl child, educating and settling girls in various employments by BJP the Government in 2014 are number of basic issues which were never a priority of Congress, he pointed out.
He said the fact is that their leaders have only fulfilled their personal ambitions and .aspirations at the cost of people.
Arun further said that the nation has for the first time felt very proud to have leadership which is decisive, corruption free and approachable by the citizen of the country.
