POONCH, May 28: District Magistrate, Poonch Rahul Yadav today seized 10 vehicles for violating DM orders in Mendhar town.
Official sources said a large number of Tata Sumo drivers were found at TCP Chowk in Mendhar town, violating the order of the District Magistrate. Suddenly, District Magistrate himself arrived Mendhar town and noticed violations.
Mr Yadav directed police to seize vehicles directed to register FIR in this connection against the drivers. SDPO Mendhar and SHO Mendhar seized vehicles, which were moving under violation of Section 144 imposed by the DM. A case has been registered under FIR No. 107/2020 u/s 188 IPC against the violators of orders.
The accused drivers are- Mohd Farooq, son of Mohd Rashid from Balnoi; Mohd Javid, son of Mohd Yousif from Kasblari; Mushtaq Hussain Shah, son of Khadim Hussain from Salwah; Nayaz Ahmed Khan, son of Mohd Rayaz Khan from Gohlad; Naseem Ahmed, son of Mohd Aziz from Kasblari; Nissar Hussain Shah, son of Imdad Hussain from Pathanateer; Niaz Ahmed, son of Akbar Hussain from Kasblari; Sajjad Ahmed, son of Mohd Iqbal from Salwah and three unknown drivers of vehicles No. JK 12/ 3141, JK12/ 6827 and JK 02F/ 1974.
