JAMMU, June 16: A young man was found hanging today at his residence in Bantalab area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the deceased was identified as Abhishek Sharma (28) son of Rohit Sharma, resident of Lane number 4, Bharat Nagar, Bantalab. “His body was found hanging this morning with the help of a scarf (dupatta) from a ceiling fan in his room,” the official said.
He said after getting conducted postmortem at GMC Jammu, the body of the deceased was handed over to family for last rites while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection by police post Chinore.
