SAMBA, June 17: A woman died after consuming the poison substance under mysterious circumstances at her residence in village Gagore area of Vijaypur in district Samba today.
She has identified as Sonu (32), wife of Raj Kumar resident of village Gagore Vijaypur. Police said during the intervening night she consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at her residence in village Gagore area of Vijaypur. As she started vomiting suddenly, the family members immediately rushed her to Emergency Hospital, Vijaypur for treatment. The doctor washed her stomach and then referred her to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for further treatment. But she died during the treatment.
The body of the deceased was kept in the mortuary room of GMC Hospital Jammu for autopsy. After conducting the postmortem the body of the deceased was handover to legal heirs for her last rites.
In this regard Police has registered a case and started further investigation.
