JAMMU, Apr 23: One week’s workshop “Anuvaad: Significance of Translation and Role of Communication Skills” organized by the Department of English concluded at Government College for Women, Udhampur.
Prof (Dr) Nalini Pathania, Patron and the chief guest of the valedictory function traced the history of translation and apprised the students of the significance of translation in learning a new language. Dr Indu Khajuria, guest of honour, motivated the students to learn translation skills to improve their communication.
The prominent resource persons of the workshop Dr Geetanjli Rajput, Dr Preeti Dubey, Dr Kamaldeep Kaur, Prof Shaji Khan, Dr Rabia Khanam, Dr Preeti Sharma, Prof Ayushi Takayia engaged the students in various translation related activities and also acquainted them with various communication skills to enhance their overall personality.
Dr Nalini Pathania, the Principal of the college congratulated and appreciated Dr Geetanjli Rajput, Head, Department of English and her team for the commitment and putting in sincere efforts in organizing workshop for enhancing the skills of the students of the college.
