SCC clarifies on dissolution

JAMMU, Apr 23: Chairman, Sikh Coordination Committee (SCC), Jammu and Kashmir, Ajit Singh has clarified that that SCC has not been dissolved by Mahant Manjit Singh, as reported in a section of press yesterday.
While clarifying, Ajit Singh said that `some people’ have tried to manipulate the statement of Mahant Manjit Singh Ji. The Chairman condemned the misquoting of Mahant Manjit Singh’s statement, emphasizing that it was manipulated to sow confusion within the community.
The Chairman further clarified that Mahant Ji’s remarks were directed towards ensuring the efficient functioning of all the committees formed, to be free from undue political influence. He said Mahant Ji had remarked that Committees should work with dedication for the welfare of the community without using the name of Dera. The SCC continued to work effectively, he added.
