JAMMU, Jan 5: Police arrested two women bootleggers and recovered illicit liquor from their possession in the holy town Katra.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police party from Katra Police Station headed by SDPO Ghulam Hassan Sheikh laid a naka and intercepted two women moving suspiciously late last night.
During checking, police recovered 25 pouches of illicit liquor from their possession.
The women bootleggers have been identified as Kamla Devi, daughter of Bhola of Chintamani and Kamla Devi, daughter of Nikku of Bihar, at present Katra.
A case under Excise Act has been registered at Katra Police Station and investigation started.
