Two nabbed with heroin, sharp edged weapon

JAMMU, Nov 26: Two drug peddlers were apprehended today from different areas of Jammu and an aggregate of 6.5 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession.
“A team of Police Station Miran Sahib while on naka duty rounded up one suspect namely Inder Kumar alias Indu son of Gyan Chand, resident of Chak Harni, who was on his way from Laswara towards Kirpind on his motorcycle bearing registration number JK02DB-5329 and on search, recovered 3.5 grams of heroin and one sharp edged weapon from his possession,” a police spokesman said.
He said in this regard, a case FIR Number 157/2022 u/s 8/21/22/60 NDPS Act and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and the accused arrested.
Similarly, he said, at another naka established at Palli Morh Bishnah by team of Police Station Bishnah one suspect namely Chirag Atri son of Ved Ram Atri, resident of Chak Jaralan (Bishnah), who was coming from Chak Murar side and going towards Bishnah by foot, was rounded up.
“On search of the suspect, 3 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession,” the police spokesman said, adding, a case FIR Number 203/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Bishnah and the accused got arrested.
