Two suspects spotted on IB

JAMMU, Nov 26: The Border Security Force opened fire after noticing suspicious movement along the International Border in Punjab’s Pathankot district, bordering Kathua district of Jammu region.
The movement of two suspects from Pakistan was spotted on Friday evening, the officials said, adding that the suspects were captured at the thermal camera of the BSF.
The BSF troops at Paharipur post in Pathankot fired seven rounds, and hence the two suspects fled back towards the Pakistan side, the official said.
A thorough search operation was also conducted today but nothing was found, he added.
Meanwhile, the Border Security Force has shot down a drone that entered from Pakistan in Punjab’s Amritsar district, the officials said.
The troops fired at the drone after they noticed it sneaking into the Indian territory near Daoke village, 34 km southwest of Amritsar city, on Friday evening, the BSF said.
During the search operation, the BSF recovered a Quadcopter DJI Matrice 300 RTK (Chinese drone) in a partially-damaged condition, according to officials.
A quadcopter is an unmanned aerial vehicle with four rotors.
