JAMMU, Apr 10: Pacca Danga police apprehended two absconders, who were evading their arrest since long.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Chowk Chabutra police post conducted raid and arrested an absconder, who was at large since long.
The accused has been identified as Nishant Kumar alias Nishu, son of Baldev Raj, a resident of Talab Tillo.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 214/2002 under Section 307/34 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act with Police Station Pacca Danga. The court has already issued warrant under Section 512 CrPC against the above said absconder.
Meanwhile, a team from Pacca Danga police also arrested an absconder, who was at large for the past many years.
The accused identified as Tarsem Lal, son of Puran Singh of Nanak Nagar was involved in a case registered under FIR Number 183/1998 under Section 452 and 380 RPC with Police Station Pacca Danga.
The court has also issued arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC against the absconder.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
Police team led by SHO Pacca Danga SI Dheeraj Nagpal and assisted by Incharge Chowk Chabutra SI Sunil Manhas Police Post made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Vivek Shekhar Sharma and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
