KATHUA, Apr 28: Billawar and Hiranagar police today arrested three persons with contraband.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Billawar laid a naka and intercepted a bus.
During checking, police team recovered 38 intoxicant capsules and 42 intoxicant tablets from the possession of a person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Anil Kumar, son of Bodh Raj of Dharamkot.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Hiranagar during checking intercepted a motorcycle.
During checking, police team recovered around 11 grams of heroin from the possession of the rider and pillion rider and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Rashid Ali of Tehsil Ramnagar District Udhampur and Murad Ali of Ucha Pind Tehsil Ramkot, at present Shapakiyaa.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Billawar and Hiranagar and investigation started.
Both the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Kathua RC Kotwal.
