JAMMU, Apr 28: Narwal Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen vehicle from his possession.
As per police sources, on April 17 this year, a complaint was lodged by a person namely Sameer Ahmed, son of Gafoor Ahmed of Bharat Nagar District Jammu regarding theft of his car bearing registration number JK02AB-1104.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 111/22 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
To work out the case, a team from Police Post Narwal led by SI Achal Rana was constituted under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Nayat Ali, SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and SP South Mamta Sharma.
The team did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV cameras footages of the area finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Hari Darshan, son of late Anil Gupta of Jain Bazaar District Jammu.
On his disclosure, stolen vehicle was recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
