Thieves decamp with gold, cash

SAMBA, Aug 1: Thieves broke into a house in the Rakh Amb Tali area of Samba and ran away with 5 to 6 tolas of gold from there.  Surprisingly, the police Naka is located at a distance of a few meters from the house where the theft took place and 24 hours a day police personnel are stationed at that Naka.
The house belonged to Nischant Singh, son of Choor Singh. The inmates had gone to a relatives house and after they returned they saw that the lock of the door of the house was broken. When they went inside the house they were shocked to see that the locks of the almirah of the house were also broken and all the gold was missing from there. Nischant Singh lodged a case in Rakh Amb Tali Police Post.
In this context, the police have started further investigation and registered a case.
In another case thieves broke into a house in Ward Number 5 of Chhani Kartholi village of Bari Brahmana, from where they took away around 25 thousand cash including 20 tolas of Gold.  Sharda Sharma, wife of Late Shaadi Lal has lodged a case of theft in Bari Brahmana Police Station.
According to Sharda Devi that late on Saturday night some thieves carried out the theft in her house, in which 20 to 22 tolas of Gold and 25 thousand cash amount was stolen. Sharda said that all of them had gone out of the house and the thieves carried out the theft in their absence.
She said that when she came home from outside, the Almirah lying inside the house was open and all the things were scattered.
In this regard, the Bari Brahmana Police have registered a case and started further investigation.
