SRINAGAR, Aug 1: As part of its CSR, NHPC Limited distributed various aids and assistive devices among 393 Divyangjans during camps held at Tehsil Social Welfare Office Bandipora and Tehsil Social Welfare Office Sumbal in Bandipora District.
The aids and assistive devices include tricycles, wheel-chairs, CP wheel chairs, hearing aids, MR kits, smart canes, smart phones, daisy player, Braille kit, crutches, walking sticks, rollator and calipersat.
The aids and assistive devices at Tehsil Social Welfare Office Bandipora were distributed by Dr Owais Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, whereas the aids and assistive devices at Tehsil Social Welfare Office Sumbal were distributed by Dr Bashir Lone, SDM Sumbal.
The beneficiaries had been identified after conducting assessment camps in association with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India.
DC Bandipora and SDM Sumbal appreciated efforts of NHPC to mitigate the problems faced by Divjangjans.
