Teachers Forum urges Governor to order cancellation of recent transfers

JAMMU, Jan 28:  Expressing strong resentment against the recent   transfers of Lecturers and Masters on alleged pick and choose basis, the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum has appealed Governor N N Vohra to personally look into the matter and issue directions for immediate cancellation of such orders issued on January 27.
An emergency meeting of the Forum was held today under the chairmanship of general secretary Ganesh Khajuria who alleged that the un-necessary chaos was being created in the School Education Department at the peak of academic session, when only a month is left for commencement of annual exams.
The Forum further alleged that by hurriedly issuing order on transfers and postings that too on pick and choose basis, intentions of the officer concerned are exposed and the Government should personally intervene into the matter.
The meet also threatened to launch an agitation against the transfer orders, issued on January 27.
